Established in 1985, the Thiruvananthapuram Regional Co-operative Milk Producers' Union Ltd (TRCMPU) is a Regional Milk Union encompassing the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, and Pathanamthitta in Kerala. Over the course of 25 years, TRCMPU has surmounted challenges including initial procurement excesses leading to losses, sales stagnation in the early 1990s, and more recently, milk scarcity issues resulting in losses. It emerged from the division of the Kerala Milk Marketing Federation, which was created to implement the OF II project in 1980. This division gave rise to two entities: ERCMPU, responsible for the northern districts, and TRCMPU. With its rich history and skilled workforce, TRCMPU is well-equipped to effectively tackle any future environmental adversities.
