The Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT) is a unique institution under the Government of Kerala that specializes in the field of Imaging Technology and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and their practical applications. It was established in December 1988 as a division of the Kerala State Film Development Corporation. Initially, C-DIT embarked on two projects funded by the Government of India: one focused on research and development in film and electronics technology, and the other aimed at science and development communication through video.
Over time, C-DIT expanded its scope to include Information Technology applications, such as software development and IT-enabled services. For the past 30 years, C-DIT has served as a comprehensive solutions provider in the IT and Communication sectors, primarily catering to the Government sector. Furthermore, C-DIT has made significant contributions in the field of education and training by offering a range of courses in communication, new media production, and IT.

Job Description:
C-DIT is currently engaged in various large-scale digitization projects that involve tasks such as scanning, graphic editing, metadata creation, and data entry. To support the metadata creation and data entry process in both Malayalam and English languages, C-DIT is seeking to establish a pool of qualified applicants.
Successful candidates will be required to have their own computer system with a broadband internet connection and the flexibility to work from their own premises. Upon selection, applicants will be provided with login credentials to access digitized copies of documents online. Their main responsibility will involve reading through the documents and completing pre-defined metadata forms for each file.
Payment for the work will be released upon verification and acceptance of the created metadata, according to the agreed-upon rate contract between the Data Processor and C-DIT. As this is a work contract, applicable Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) will be deducted from the payments made to the Data Processors.
